What Chelsea Dishes is All About
I started Chelsea Dishes because I was SO sick of seeing my friends and family getting duped by crappy nutrition advice online. In the internet age, everyone is an “expert” and that can actually do harm. There’s no shortage of nutrition information, recipes, and news headlines online, but it can be hard to separate misinformation from the good stuff.
There is an opportunity here for communication and education, and wouldn’t you know it? That’s kinda my thing.
My goal here is to make nutrition easy to understand and empower you to cook healthy meals so you can eat better and stress less!
What I Do
My work in the wellness world began about seven years ago. I got my start as a dance teacher, then I became a group fitness instructor and eventually a personal trainer. I’ve always loved helping others uncover the joy and the science involved in how their bodies work. For a long time, I thought I wanted to work solely in the fitness world, but I couldn’t ignore my passion for nutrition. I decided to take the exciting (albeit difficult) path to become a dietitian and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
In the past, when people have asked me what I want to do with my life, I told them, “I want to talk to people about food.” Well, lucky me! I found a job that lets me do that. I work full-time for an amazing company as a wellness dietitian providing health coaching for people all over the country! (I literally talk to people about their health goals all day. It’s awesome.)
In my free time, creating recipes and blog posts for you on this site gives me an added sense of purpose.
